Social Distancing in South Korea Got Reduced to Improve the Economic Condition of the Nation
The number of people that were limited to visit a crowded place for purposes like political rallies, social events, exhibitions, or weddings was increased to a maximum of 499 only at a condition of every person getting vaccinated. The South Korean government started allowing larger social gatherings and expanded the business hour limits in the restaurants. It’s considered as the first step toward the attempt of restoring the pre-pandemic normality.
The people are experiencing social distancing since July. For pandemic fatigue and economic issues, the government officials have eased up the gathering of up to 8 people only if they are fully immunized. The changes are going to start from Monday and the limit will be raised from 8 to 12 in other regions of the country, whether the participants are vaccinated or not.
Coffee shops and restaurants will be open for 24 hours that were also barred to 12 hours in the past. People used to open the restaurant till 10 pm in the country back then. High-risk entertainment venues like nightclubs will be closed at midnight. For using indoor sports or visiting the patients at hospitals, individuals need to show Smartphone app registration and documents that will be issued by the public health authorities to see whether they have been vaccinated or not.
Enormous crowds will be allowed at the sports arenas only. The prime minister of South Korea Kim Boo Kyum gave a warm-hearted speech to help small business owners in a Facebook post on Sunday. There are 1,686 cases in South Korea as of now that was reported on Monday in the Seoul metropolitan region. As of now, 75% of the population includes more than 51M mark which is fully vaccinated.
